Nik has released
HDR Efex Pro 2, a major update to the high-dynamic range imaging plug-in for Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, and Apple Aperture.
Major improvements include a new tone-mapping engine, which provides better color rendering and improved natural styles, according to Nik. There is also an updated user interface, and a variety of new feature such as chromatic aberration reduction, full white balance control, graduated neutral density control, a history browser, and more.
HDR Efex Pro 2 is available for Windows and Mac. It installs as a plug-in for Photoshop CS5 or later, Lightroom 3 or later, and Aperture 3 or later. A full license costs US$99.95 in the U.S. User of the first version of HDR Efex Pro can upgrade for US$49.95 in the U.S.
