| Canon EOS 5D Mark III shipments halted in Canada |
| Monday, April 16, 2012 | by Rob Galbraith |
 |
Canon Canada has begun informing dealers that shipments of the EOS 5D Mark III have been suspended while the company sorts out a solution to a metering error problem that can occur in dark environments when the top LCD backlighting is switched on.
While Canon Canada's shipping-stoppage notice applies to the Canadian market only, it's likely that Canon in other regions and countries will also be holding back the new digital SLR while a fix is developed.
Canon announced the 22.12 million image pixel 5D Mark III in early March, and began to ship the camera a few weeks later.
