Nikon has announced that limited production of DSLR cameras and lenses was re-started at its factory in Ayutthaya, Thailand on January 3rd, a bit earlier than expected. This factory suffered severe damage from flooding last fall.
Nikon continues to project that the factory's production will return to full capacity by the end of March 2012, and the company's estimate of the impact of the factory closure on its business performance, noted here, remains unchanged.
