Profoto has announced the Umbrella XL, a 65-inch "slightly parabolic" umbrella. The parabolic shape allows photographers to change the lighting effect by sliding the umbrella shaft to change the distance between the flash head and the umbrella. 

The Umbrella XL is available in white, silver, and translucent versions, and there is an optional front diffuser that allows the umbrella to function much like an octabox.
