Getty Images has announced it will shoot some of its coverage of the
London 2012 Olympic Games in 3D. The agency says that it will deploy a "handful" of dedicated 3D photographers among its crew of about 60 shooters total for the Games.
Getty does not specify the equipment or techniques it uses to create 3D still imagery, but the agency says it first added 3D to its event coverage for the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton last April.
