OnOne Software has
started discounted pre-sales of Perfect Layers 1.0, which has been available for download in a free public preview for several weeks.
Perfect Layers can function as a standalone application or as a plugin for Adobe Photoshop Lightroom or Apple Aperture. It brings to those applications much of the power of Photoshop's layers feature, including layer masks, blending modes, and adjustable opacity.
Perfect Layers will cost US$129.95 when it begins shipping on June 17, 2011, but OnOne is offering it at a discounted price of US$99.95 to anyone who pre-orders it now. Exactly how long the pre-order discount will last is not specified. Owners of OnOne's Perfect Photo Suite 5.5 will receive Perfect Layers 1.0 for free.
