Nikon's global website contains an entry today for an as-yet-unannounced AF-S 50mm f/1.8G lens, complete with specifications and reduced-resolution sample photos. Main features of the apparent replacement for the AF 50mm f/1.8D include one aspherical lens element, Silent Wave autofocus with M/A switch, seven-blade diaphragm and a minimum focus distance of 1.48ft/45cm.
