Apple has released Digital Camera Raw Compatibility Update 3.5 for the Mac OS. It adds support for the RAW formats of seven additional digital cameras including the Canon PowerShot G12, Nikon D7000 and Coolpix P7000.
The full list of newly-added cameras is as follows:
-
Canon PowerShot G12
- Leica D-Lux 5
- Leica V-Lux 2
- Nikon D7000
- Nikon Coolpix P7000
- Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF2
- Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH2
Digital Camera Raw Compatibility Update 3.5 is available via the Software Update mechanism of Mac OS X 10.5.8 or 10.6.5. Applications that make use of the RAW decode support in the operating system include Aperture, iPhoto and the Finder.
Apple has also published a tech note warning D7000 users that NEFs captured by this camera in multiple exposure mode may exhibit a strong magenta cast when processed in software that relies on the RAW decoding of the Mac OS.
