| Newspaper retracts Kuwait digital SLR ban report |

The
Kuwait Times has retracted a story it published earlier this month which stated that the use of digital SLR cameras in the Persian Gulf emirate had been banned except for "journalism purposes." The retraction says: "[t]he article wrongly stated that a ban on DSLR cameras was implemented by the Ministries of Information, Social Affairs and Finance. This information is false. In a follow up investigation, it was proved that no such ban has been issued."
