| Photo editor at The Dallas Morning News discovers altered golf picture |

The Dallas Morning News photo editor Guy Reynolds tells how he spotted an altered sports picture in Getty Images' coverage of the recent Reno-Tahoe Open golf tournament. His discovery led to a mandatory photo "kill" from the picture service a short time later.
Update, July 20, 2010: Reynolds has posted a followup blog entry that includes an explanation from Marc Feldman, the photographer who both shot the picture and performed the subsequent manipulation in Photoshop. Feldman asserts "[t]here was absolutely no intent to pass this off as a real image" and details how the altered version made it to Getty accidentally.
