Adobe issues Photoshop CS5 bug fix update

An update to Photoshop CS5 for Mac and Windows corrects a number of bugs in the latest version of Adobe's flagship image editor.

The download page list the following changes:


  • A number of issues that could cause slow performance have been addressed.
  • Top crashers found in the field have been addressed.
  • 3D refractions, Ray Tracing and IBL workflows improved.
  • Out of memory error opening some TIFFs has been addressed.
  • A crash in Content Aware Fill has been addressed.
  • Font related crashes have been addressed.
  • Scroll wheel issue addressed.
  • A number of user interface and workspace issues addressed.
  • A number of painting issues addressed, including video layer issue.
  • Droplet issues addressed.

Follow a link below to access the updater for your platform, or install it using the update mechanism within Photoshop CS5 itself.

More information is in a post on the blog of Adobe's John Nack. Nack notes that Droplets created after this update is installed will be Intel native and will therefore not require that Rosetta be installed on a Mac running the Droplets.
