| Canon releases firmware v1.2.1 for EOS 7D |

Canon has posted firmware v1.2.1 for the EOS 7D.
The update fixes an instance of magenta-coloured banding appearing in still photos taken while a video is being recorded and "[e]xtends the timing at which the high temperature warning indicator is displayed and the timing of automatic shut down of the camera due to a rise in internal temperature during Live View or EOS Movie functions." The behaviour of ISO Auto has also been adjusted, and a spelling mistake in the French-language menus has been corrected.
