| Feature: Crisp light, great moments typify the wedding photography of Cliff Mautner |
| Because of his newspaper background, Cliff Mautner had not been indoctrinated in the style of carefully posed wedding formals where you “run to open shade and make boring pictures,” as Mautner puts it. Early on, says the Philadelphia-based wedding shooter, he trained himself to use whatever light was available, and the result is a distinctive style that has earned Mautner numerous accolades along the way to building a successful 50-weddings-a-year business. We have a feature on the former Philadelphia Inquirer staffer who is now considered to be one of the finest wedding photographers in the world. |

| A notice (English translation) posted today on the Fujifilm Japan website indicates the FinePix X100 should begin to ship in early April. While originally slated for release in the middle of March worldwide, the recent earthquake and tsunami that devastated Japan caused an interruption in X100 production and subsequent delay in broad availability. While the early-April release described in the notice appears to apply to the Japanese domestic market only, it is perhaps a sign the much-anticipated camera will soon be shipping around the globe. |

| Review: Vagabond Mini Lithium portable power pack |
| Not that many years ago, portable power options for studio flash were exclusively heavy, expensive or both. While battery + pure sine wave inverter systems have gotten less expensive as well as more powerful over time, commercially-available options have remained bulky and fairly hefty.
The Vagabond Mini Lithium changes that in a big way. Make that a small way: as by far the most compact product of its type, the Vagabond Mini Lithium has the potential to significantly alter how photographers work on location. But only if this new portable power source lives up to the promise of full-size performance in a pint-size package. We review the Vagabond Mini Lithium, comparing its recycle and runtime capabilities with several larger portable power packs from Godox, Innovatronix, Profoto and others. |
