| Canon updates D30 software |
| Canon has updated some of the software components for the Canon EOS D30 for both Mac and Windows, and has also introduced a new Windows-only application, called RAW Image Converter 1.0.1, that processes D30 RAW .CRW files into finished files from within Windows Explorer. In the Canon EOS D30 area of the Digital Photojournalism Forums at this site, Windows users are reporting significantly shorter RAW file processing times also (attributed in some cases to the unchecking of "false color filter" in TWAIN preferences). Mac users will see modest speed gains by unchecking "false color filter" also. Digital Photography Review has additional information in an article comparing different D30 RAW processing options for Windows users. |
