Nikon confirms D3 firmware v1.10 photo corruption problem
Nikon has confirmed the photo corruption problem brought on by D3 firmware v1.10 and has pulled the firmware update from the Web. An advisory states that the problem occurs only when the camera is capturing RAW or RAW + JPEG images, it's set to record 14-bit NEFs and the camera is fired at 9 fps. Switching the D3 to 12-bit NEF or slowing the frame rate to 8 fps or less prevents the corruption from occurring, says the advisory.

Nikon D3 v1.10 firmware appears to cause photo corruption problem
Firmware v1.10 for the Nikon D3, released earlier this week as a download from Nikon support sites, appears to have introduced an intermittent photo corruption problem to Nikon's flagship digital SLR. We've been bitten by it, received a handful of reports from other D3 shooters who have too, while a thread on a popular Web discussion forum is filled with posts showing or describing precisely the same offset ghost image phenomenon we've experienced since loading the new firmware on Tuesday.(*UPDATED*)

Leaf releases Capture 11.1 for Mac
Leaf has today released Capture 11.1, an update to its camera control, editing and RAW conversion software for Valeo, Aptus and AFi series cameras and backs. The new version, which is currently available for the Mac only, adds a Compare View, a wizard for building lens calibration files, automatic updating of the firmware in a connected AFi or Aptus model and other interface changes. Leaf also recently made available Capture 11.0.2 for Windows in beta form.
